Senior Designer Hard Wovens (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
- Design women’s hard wovens across all categories within the Central New York design team, reporting to the Central Womenswear Design Director.
- Own the hard wovens design process from concept to execution, driving inspiration and innovation across global design teams.
- Research market and fashion trends and be an expert on your category
- Lead design comments and communicate to relevant teams.
- Ensure seamless & on-time design process, upholding brand vision & quality.
- Work with Materials R&D and agencies/suppliers to drive initial development, and make sure the selected materials are falling into correct price bucket
- Own sketching and presentation
- Ensure timely PDM data entry and maintenance
- Build and maintain strong collaboration with EU/HK design teams and work on overall design global strategies & initiatives
- Own the tech pack process for your category while building and maintaining strong collaboration with Technical Design teams.
- Mentor and lead junior level designers
- Ensure quality and details are executed through to production
- Approve mock ups and prototypes, ensuring a premium product for the customer
- Collaborate with Print and graphics designers on development and execution
- Ensure compliance with Esprit’s Code of Conduct, corporate social requirements
- Demonstrate cross-functional leadership when collaborating with team members to achieve a common objective.
- Build and coach your team against individual development plan. Provide coaching and set them up for success. Own succession plans for your team
Your Skills
- 8+ years experience in fashion design with an emphasis on women’s hard wovens across all categories.
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, ProCreate, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and Keynote.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design OR fashion related degree.
- Must possess astute knowledge of tailoring, sportswear, garment construction, trends and fabrication.
- Must have an eye for conceptual research and be proficient in creating digital presentations and graphic formatting.
- Must be an excellent illustrator and be able to communicate design ideas via technical sketch, croquis and detailed tech packs.
- Communicate with global cross functional teams
- Support design team in digital presentations
- Strong organizational skills
- Be an expert in current womens hard wovens market trends
- PDM/PLM experience a plus

Compensation Range ~$95-130K: This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
